General conditions for renting ""Le Châtaignier"" at Haute Grange 68240 FRELAND

Capacity of the house: 2 to 4 people maximum (adults only)

This rental is  furnished and fully equipped. The price includes the  accommodation, utility charges  (water, electricity, heating), household linen (beds made on arrival, towels, household linen), firewood 'where applicable) , free wifi ,  private parking  at the entrance to the properties (No vehicles within the grounds of the property). End-of-stay cleaning .

The reservation  will be confirmed on receipt of a deposit(bank transfer or cheque ) of 30% of the price of the stay. 

The balance will be due 30 days before the arrival date.

A guarantee payment of €500 to be deposited in cash on arrival.This guarantee will not be used except in the event of costs for repairing any damage and/or breakages and can be used no later than 48 hours after the departure of the guests Reimbursement will be made by bank transfer.

We strongly suggest guests to take extra travel insurance . We can advise on where to do so.

Arrivals between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., and departures  no later than 11 a.m. on the last day, unless otherwise stated in the contract. In the event of early departures the guarantee deposit will be refunded by Bank transfer no later than 48 hours after departure. 

The duration of the rental cannot be extended without the express written consent of the owner.

It is understood that the gîte is rented for the persons mentioned in the contract.

The house is not suitable for children.

The guests agree - 

-Not to invite additional  visitors or guests without our authorization.

 To occupy the premises responsibly , to ensure its tranquility and normal maintenance and to return the gîte in a perfect state of cleanliness.

-Not to smoke inside the house.

To provide proof of  insurance against rental risks such as theft, fire, water damage. A certificate of civil liability insurance  is mandatory, to be obtained from your insurance company, it is in principle free, and must be presented on the day of your arrival. Any breach of this obligation would result in the cancellation of the contract.

The house being equipped with a septic tank, the occupants agree not to dispose of any waste  in the toilets  or sinks.  Any damage caused to the septic tank will be the responsibility of the guests.

The guest agrees to check the proper functioning of the equipment made available to him within 24 hours of his arrival - any problems should be brought to our notice as soon as possible. - and to confirm the same with us on the day of his departure one hour before leaving the premises.Failing this, the guest declares that he does not contest the costs relating to any damage observed after his departure. Any damage must imperatively be declared to us as soon as possible. The tenant is forbidden to  repair or replace the object of the damage without our consent. He undertakes to reimburse the total replacement value of the damaged  objects and/or materials caused by abnormal wear and tear during the rental period  . It is  agreed that damage to bedding, paint, floors, ceilings, windows or garden equipment, etc.will also be charged., 

Animals are not allowed in the property.

The tenant agrees to allow the owner to enter the rented premises for any reason whatsoever (electrical problems, water, etc.) 

In the event of absence, the tenant must secure the gite.( doors, windows)  Otherwise, all consequences will be attributable to him.

The tenant undertakes to respect our precautions when using the fireplaces (the fireguard must be placed in front of the fire to avoid any risk of burns, fire or damage), and the fire extinguished at  bedtime.The property is fully cleaned before the start of the rental period. On your departure, you must leave it as you found it  On departure should extra cleaning be necessary to prepare the gite we will deduct  the corresponding costs from the security deposit

By accepting the  reservation of the rental it is understood  that the guests  are insured with an insurance company against the risk of theft, fire and water damage, breakages and other damage  All guests  must be duly covered by the same insurance. policy. 

Remember to bring your certificate, it is mandatory and will be requested upon your arrival. In the event that we are obliged to make a modification or cancel the rental of the gîte, we will inform you of this as soon as possible, and we will reimburse you in full  Should the guests need to cancel they should contact us immediately by email  

 The cancellation date will be  the date on which we confirm receipt of  the written notification

Cancellation charges will be as per the contract sent on confirmation of the rental.   If we manage to re-let the house for the same period, the cancellation charges would be fully refunded.less any bank charges IIn the event of early departure, for any reason whatsoever, no refund. will be made.  The guests will not ne permitted  to remain in the premises at the end of the agreed stay as per the contract..
